Books that rocked your world when you were 16 that fall flat now
I know I don’t exactly have the “ten years perspective” here but…the books I loved at sixteen are the books I still love now. I don’t think I’ve outgrown anything. Great literature grows with you. Or at least, it stays the same and you get new and different things out of it with time.
Most memorable books of sixteen: Catcher in the Rye, The Poisonwood Bible, Canterbury Tales, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, Macbeth. And guess what? They’re all still amazing.
