I’m currently in the middle of the new Salinger biography, “Salinger: A Life”, and it’s heartbreaking and beautiful and I’m just learning so much about this man who I already felt like I knew. It’s incredible how much of his work has reflected his life, as well as vice versa. I’m also in the near-middle of David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas and am dying to find out how all of these stories fit together! I’m getting very attached to characters and then finding myself whisked off to some new time and place. That sort of book could have the potential to irritate me, but then the next story is even better than the last and I find I don’t even mind.
